MOVE AI MANIFESTO
Move AI Launches in Alexandria to Make Moving Simple, Honest, and Predictable
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Phil Salesses
Founder & CEO
Alexandria, VA — August 15, 2025 — Move AI, founded by Phil Salesses, is launching a new way to plan a move, simple steps, clear prices, and fewer day-of surprises. The service uses AI behind the scenes so households can snap room photos, get a clean inventory, and see an upfront estimate before they book.
“Moving shouldn’t be a guessing game,” said Salesses, Founder & CEO of Move AI. “Show us your rooms, tell us where you’re going, and we’ll give you a straightforward plan… no last-minute drama.”
Move AI matches customers with vetted movers, flags common “gotchas” (elevators, parking, long carries) before crews arrive, and keeps payment secure until the job is done. The service is available nationwide, with an initial focus on Northern Virginia and the D.C. region.
Move AI is backed by a $1.4M pre-seed led by e14 Fund, with participation from Pioneer Fund, Taro F, and ten angel investors, many of them Y Combinator founders.
Editor’s note: Reliability in the relocation system is a timely topic. On June 18, 2025, the Department of Defense terminated for cause the Global Household Goods contract with HomeSafe Alliance, underscoring the difficulty of delivering consistent moves at scale.
